Chiropractic Treatments
What are they and What do they do?
Chiropractic treatment consist of treating the neck or neck pain, treating the mid back or mid back pain, treating the lower back or lower back pain as well as any muscle, joint, and/or nerve pain with adjustments and therapy for the purpose of restoring normal mechanical function. Normal mechanical function refers to the ease of movement of muscles and joints without pain, pressure, or stiffness. Chiropractic treatment includes care to the neck, upper and middle back, lower back and pelvis, upper and lower extremities, and the TMJ. Chiropractic care for the treatment of mechanical joint, muscle and nerve problems is safe, effective, costs less than traditional care.
As a chiropractor I am going to do a consultation and examination to evaluate your particular condition. After 25 years and 6500 patients there is probably nothing that you have that I have not seen thousands of times. After a complete evaluation I then go over all of your findings (Report of Findings) with you and explain exactly what is wrong, what we need to do to fix it, how long it will take, and how much it will cost.
Chiropractic care is not painful, it is not voodoo, and actually fixes the problem. Depending on how long you have had your particular problem, how old you are, and how bad it is determines the amount of chiropractic treatment you will require to completely fix your condition.
Chiropractic is based on structure (anatomy) and function (physiology). Life's stresses, strains, and accident/injuries are what usually causes your muscles, joints, and nerves to become painful and/or stiff. The conditions I treat are not drug or surgery problems. A drug will never fix a mechanical problem, it can cover it up for a while but will not fix it. Surgery is to either put back together or take something out and again in these cases it does not apply. Mechanical problems are not structural problems, but functional problems and that is why chiropractic care is so effective. It is mechanical treatment for mechanical problems. Chiropractic care restores function and when it works right it does not hurt and it is not stiff.
When properly administered chiropractic care is actually very gentle and when therapy is applied first the adjustments are very comfortable and non-painful. Chiropractic care is safe. We don't do drugs and surgery and therefore we are the safest health profession. We pay the least amount of malpractice insurance by many thousands and this makes chiropractic care a great choice for all.
