Hi, this is Dr.Mark again and it’s hard to believe, but school is starting next week! WOW! Time flies! I hope you’ve had a great summer.

With the end of summer and the start of the school year comes my favorite sport, FOOTBALL. I love football. I am a huge CHARGER fan. I played football for ten years. I played at Poway High School, and although I wanted to go further, I was just not big enough. I did not want to risk a serious injury and what is funny is that I was never really hurt playing football, but the first year out of high school, on my first show skiing trip, I tore my medial meniscus and had to have knee surgery. Oh, well!

Although I was never really hurt seriously playing football, everyone gets hurt. That is the game. I remember once when I was in 10th grade and I got a strain in my upper back that only hurt when I played. I had this severe pain with deep breathing and activity. I was able to get through it but, had I known about chiropractic, which would have been the treatment of choice. There is only so much ice can do. Adjustments are a mechanical treatment to the joint that returns motion to a motion unit. So with that in mind and all the school sports coming up, I thought I would remind you of the importance of chiropractic in your children’s lives. What is really unfortunate is that my father was going to a chiropractor and I never knew it. All through high school I could have benefited from chiropractic care and I never even heard of chiropractic. So was it my father’s fault? Or his chiropractor’s? I believe it was both! My dad never told me and his chiropractor probably never told him. I don’t want this to be the case with you and your family. I want to see your spouse and your children. They need chiropractic care. As a matter of fact, I was never adjusted until I entered Palmer College of Chiropractic. That was 24 years ago and I have never gone more than one month without an adjustment. If your child or some one you knows plays the game and has been hurt, please tell them of the many benefits of chiropractic and refer them in. They can get the proper care they need and get back in the game!!
